Borgarfjörður Valley
Reykholt in Borgarfjörður is one of the strongholds of Icelandic sagas. The distinguised saga writer Snorri Sturluson lived, worked and died there in the 13th century and some fine pieces of Icelandic medieval litterature originated there. However, the area also boasts beautiful landscapes and many opportunitues for recreation.
