Summer has sure been warm and bright in Iceland so far! We hope that you are all enjoying the good weather and wish a good journey to all summer travellers.
The companies below, as well as many more, are represented in our new and improved Visitor's Guide 2007-2008. Distribution of the new book is well on its way and it should now be available at all hotels and guesthouses in the Greater Reykjavík Area. The Viking Village has also recently been added to our Information Folder, available in the reception of hotels and guesthouses in Reykjavík, where you will find even more information about these companies in 6 languages.

The Viking Village - Restaurant and Hotel

The Viking Village is a unique Viking style restaurant In Hafnarfjörður, where food is served and live entertainment provided by Vikings and Valkyries. The menu at the Viking Village includes a selection of traditional but curious Icelandic dishes, such as Icelandic Meat Broth, Smoked Puffin and Beaked Whale Steak.
Moreover, the Viking Village has a Viking Hotel next to the restaurant, complete with a jacuzzi and a steam bath in the back yard. Some rooms are still available at the hotel for August and September.

Room reservations may be made through booking@vikingvillage.is

New services on Visitor's Guide Online

The website www.visitorsguide.is has undergone much improvement lately. New services on the site include among else an online booking system and a forum, where visitors can log in and read experiences and recommendations from other travellers - or add their own! New companies are also being represented on the website, along with more articles and photos.
The website is becoming an ever stronger medium, as a growing number of visitors shows clearly. In late June the website received an average of around 6000 visitors per week.
