Höfn is the biggest town in East Iceland, with only around 2000 inhabitants though. We visited Höfn beginning of August and stayed at Fosshotel Vatnajökul which is 10 kilometres south of the town, with nice view of the Vatnajökull glacier. We had a fine meal at Hotel Höfn in the town, a 2 course meal at a fair price. They specialize in lobster among other. Höfn has some 3 restaurants, 2 hotels, guesthouses, youth hostel, museums, thermal swimming pool and more.
