North Sailing was established in Húsavík in the year 1995 and has since then grown rapidly with number of passengers increasing each year. The number of traditional Icelandic oak boats has likewise increased as there was one boat in the beginning but today they are six. North Sailing is not only a whale watching company but also owns and runs restaurant Gamli Baukur and Café Skuld. Normally around 15 people work for North Sailing during the winter time but the number of staff can be as high as 90 in the summer time, mostly experienced local people. North Sailing has been internationally rewarded throughout the years and is also a member of travel associatons and authorised by official safety authorities. Click here to view video
