The Icelandic Opera is located in a beautiful building in the heart of city. Originally it was a cinema until the Icelandic Opera bought the building. There are approximately 2-3 performances at The Icelandic Opera each year, from September to June. The house has been considered an excellent concert hall from the beginning and is still very popular for concerts.
