ZO-ON’s founder has been an outdoors person all his life, and got tired of being wet and cold when the idea was to be having a good time. On a backcountry trail one afternoon he decided to develop a better way of making outdoor clothes, clothes that would keep active people drier and more comfortable – whatever the weather. That idea, whatever the weather, became the slogan, and the beginning of a clothing concept that could deal with the climate challenges in Iceland. That was about 15 years ago. Since then our outdoor performance wear has built up a huge following at home in snowboarding & skiing, hiking, golfing and streetlife-streetwear clothing lines. Over the last few years, we have been selling our collections internationally. The concept was that clothes designed to withstand Icelandic conditions – clothes ‘Born in Iceland’ – could handle most any weather most any place. To us, ZO-ON performance wear is more than a brand. It’s having the freedom to enjoy the great outdoors without caring about the weather. ZO-ON looks good, feels comfortable and lives up to its promises. These days that’s saying a lot. That was the start of an adventure that gets more exciting every year. It’s inspiring to get real positive feedback at international exhibitions, and from tourists who say that ZO-ON is exactly what they have been looking for!
