Gallery KSK is located in the heart of Reykjavik on the reputed street of Skólavörðustígur where art and craft galleries abound. Gallery KSK is a treasure trove of icelandic handcrafted pottery and paintings by the well known artists, Kolbrún S. Kjarval, María Kjarval, Louisa Matthiasdóttir and Temma Bell. The Icelandic landscape and wildlife is evidently an inspiration to the potter/artist KSK whose studio is situated in the back of the gallery. The rich Icelandic bird life that has featured prominently in her work for the past thirty years and for which she has gained a reputation, is clearly a major inspiration. The rich and colorful display of functional and artistic work keeps you going round and round this unique gallery. KSK studied art in Denmark and the United Kingdom and her work has featured in numerous exhibitions home and abroad. Kolbrún welcomes you to her gallery and workshop in Reykjavik.
